Making a One-Time Payment

How to pay an open dues invoice manually, with or without autopay enrolled.

Making a One-Time Payment

You can pay any open dues invoice manually at any time — whether or not you have autopay set up. One-time payments are useful for the transition period before your first autopay charge, for paying a failed invoice, or simply if you prefer to pay each month yourself.

When to use a one-time payment

  • Before autopay starts: Autopay charges on the HOA due date each month. If you activated autopay after your dues were already due, pay the current period manually so you're not late.
  • Retry a failed charge: If an autopay payment failed and you want to pay immediately rather than waiting for the next retry, use Pay now.
  • No autopay enrolled: If you haven't set up autopay, all invoices require a manual payment.

How to pay

  1. Go to Portal → Payments.
  2. Find the open or failed invoice. It will be labelled Due or Failed.
  3. Click Pay now.
  4. A secure payment form loads. Enter your card details or bank account number.
  5. Review the fee summary — it shows your dues amount, the processing fee, and the total.
  6. Click Pay to complete the charge.

You'll receive a payment receipt by email within a few minutes.

Saving your payment method for next time

During the payment flow, you can choose to save your card or bank account for future one-time payments. This means you won't have to re-enter your details next time.

Saving a payment method for one-time payments is separate from enrolling in autopay. A saved method does not automatically enroll you in autopay.

What fees are charged?

The processing fee depends on your payment method:

Payment methodProcessing fee
Credit or debit card (US-issued)3% + $0.30
ACH bank transfer0.9%, capped at $5.00
International credit or debit card4.7% + $0.30

The exact fee for your chosen method is always shown on the review screen before you confirm. If your HOA absorbs processing fees, the fee line will show $0.00.

What if I don't see an open invoice?

If your Payments page shows no open invoices, your dues are either paid up or no invoice has been generated yet for the current period. Invoices are created by your board on their billing schedule.

If you believe you owe dues but no invoice appears, contact your board to confirm the invoice was issued.

Common questions

Does paying manually cancel my autopay?

No. A manual payment only settles the current open invoice. Your autopay enrollment stays active and will continue charging on your scheduled day for future invoices.

Can I pay a partial amount?

Fourplex collects the full invoice amount in a single charge. Partial payments aren't supported. If you need a payment arrangement, reach out to your board directly.

I paid but the invoice still shows as open. What happened?

Payments can take a few seconds to reflect after the charge completes. Refresh the page. If the invoice is still open after a minute, check your email for a receipt. If you received a receipt but the invoice status hasn't updated, let your board know.

Can I pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay?

If your browser supports Apple Pay or Google Pay, these options may appear in the payment form. They use the card linked to your wallet and carry the same card processing fee.
