Privacy Policy

TVB Apps LLC, a Washington limited liability company doing business as Fourplex ("Fourplex," "we," "us," or "our"), operates getfourplex.com and the Fourplex application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address.

HOA data: We store the data you enter into Fourplex — member information, documents, calendar events, emails, and meeting records. This data belongs to your organization.

Usage data: We collect product analytics about how the application is used (page views, feature usage, performance metrics) to improve Fourplex. Analytics events are tied to an opaque user ID and your role (president, board member, member) — your name and email are not included. When an error occurs, we also send diagnostic information to our error monitoring service (Sentry); these error reports may include your IP address and browser information to help us reproduce and fix issues.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Fourplex service
  • To send transactional emails (magic-link sign-in, meeting notices, reminders, payment confirmations)
  • To process HOA dues and other payments through Stripe
  • To improve the product through usage analytics and error diagnostics
  • To respond to support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your HOA's data to train AI models.

Payment information

When you pay dues or set up autopay, your payment details (credit card number, bank account number, and routing number) are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. Fourplex stores only non-sensitive payment metadata — for example, the last four digits of a card or account, the payment amount, and a Stripe reference ID. We never see or store your full card number, full bank account number, or routing number.

Infrastructure and third parties

We use trusted third-party services to operate Fourplex. None of these providers receive your data for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

  • Hosting and databases (United States): Our application and database servers are hosted by reputable US-based cloud providers. All data is stored in the United States, encrypted at rest, and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
  • Payment processing — Stripe: When you pay HOA dues or set up autopay, Stripe processes and stores your card or bank account details. Fourplex never sees, stores, or transmits your full card number or bank account number. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Email delivery — Resend: We use Resend to send transactional email (magic-link sign-in, meeting notices, reminders). Resend processes email addresses and message content on our behalf.
  • Background jobs — Trigger.dev: We use Trigger.dev to run scheduled tasks like sending reminders and compliance notifications.
  • Error monitoring — Sentry: When something in the product crashes or errors, we send diagnostic information to Sentry so we can fix it. Error reports may include your IP address, browser and device information, and the page or action where the error occurred. This data is used solely to diagnose and fix problems.
  • Product analytics and session replay — PostHog: We use PostHog to understand how people use Fourplex (which pages get visited, which features get used) so we can improve the product. See "Session replay" below for details on what is recorded and what is masked.

Each of these providers is bound by its own privacy policy and data processing terms. Where applicable, they are SOC 2 or PCI DSS certified, meaning their security practices are independently audited.

Session replay

To diagnose bugs and improve usability, we record a subset of user sessions. These recordings capture clicks, navigation, and page structure. We explicitly mask sensitive content so it is never recorded, including: email message bodies, document previews, OCR text, and financial amounts. Masked content appears as solid blocks in recordings and is never sent to our analytics provider.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your data is retained for 30 days before deletion, giving you time to export.
