Editing a unit

How to update a unit's unit number, address, notes, and photos.

Editing a unit

Board members can update a unit's unit number, address, notes, and photos at any time from the unit detail page. Changes take effect immediately.

How to edit a unit's unit number and address

  1. Go to Units in the sidebar and click the unit you want to edit.
  2. Click the Edit button near the top of the unit detail page.
  3. Update the unit number or street address as needed.
  4. Click Save.

Adding and managing board notes

The notes field on a unit is for internal board use only. Residents never see it. Use it for anything useful to the board — parking assignments, key lockbox codes, maintenance reminders, or other operational details.

To add or update notes:

  1. Open the unit detail page.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Add or update the text in the notes field.
  4. Click Save.

Managing unit photos

Photos are visible to the unit's owners through the resident portal. They're useful for documenting a unit's condition or giving owners a reference for what the board has on file.

To upload photos:

  1. Open the unit detail page.
  2. Click the upload area in the Photos section.
  3. Select one or more files. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC.
  4. Each photo must be under 5 MB. A unit can have up to 8 photos.

To reorder photos:

  • On desktop: drag the photos into the order you want using the drag handle on each photo.
  • On mobile: use the up and down arrow buttons that appear on each photo.

To delete a photo:

  1. Open the overflow menu (the three-dot icon) on the photo you want to remove.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

What residents can see

When an owner views their unit through the resident portal, they can see the unit's unit number, address, and any photos the board has uploaded. Board notes are never shown to residents.
