About Fourplex
Built for the communities that big software forgot.
Fourplex is HOA software for small, self-managed associations. No management company. No enterprise bloat. Just the tools a board actually needs.
The problem
Chasing dues every month, losing track of who paid, and patching a ledger together from bank statements — that’s not what a board signed up for.
Enterprise HOA tools cost hundreds per month, take weeks to configure, and assume you have a management company running things.
Small, self-managed communities are left with spreadsheets, group chats, and guesswork — patched together by a volunteer board that didn’t sign up to be IT.
Fourplex is purpose-built for the gap in the middle: too small for enterprise, too important for a shared spreadsheet.
What we believe
Four things that won’t change.
Every product makes trade-offs. These are the ones we made on purpose — the principles that shape every feature we ship and every one we choose not to.
Small communities deserve modern tools at a fair price.
A 6-unit condo is not a 600-unit master-planned community, and shouldn't pay like one. Pricing and complexity should scale down, not just up.
Collecting dues should be the easy part.
Dues fund everything an HOA does — so collecting them shouldn't be the hardest part of the job. Autopay, retries, and a clean ledger should be table stakes.
Managing your HOA should take minutes, not hours.
If a feature can't be explained in one sentence, it isn't done. The north star is the moment a board member closes the laptop and goes back to dinner.
Every board member should have visibility — not just the president.
Boards turn over. CC&Rs, insurance binders, and vendor history shouldn't — they need to live somewhere every board member can find them, not in one person's inbox.
Meet the founder
The story behind Fourplex.

Founder & CEO
Tyler Van Brocklin
Seattle native. Software engineer. HOA board president who couldn’t find the right tools.
Tyler founded his first company at 18, building apps for public schools. He then graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Informatics, focused on Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, and went on to solve complex software problems at scale across large enterprises.
After purchasing a home in a small four-unit townhome community in Seattle, Tyler took on the role of HOA board president. Managing the community meant figuring out how to collect dues, pay for shared expenses, coordinate meetings, and keep documents organized — all without a centralized system to make any of it simple.
The enterprise platforms he found were designed for 200-unit complexes with management companies, full-time staff, and budgets to match. Nothing existed for a board of four neighbors trying to keep things running on their own.
That gap is why Fourplex exists. An engineering background combined with firsthand experience as a board president — building the tool he wished he’d had from day one. Purpose-built for small, self-managed HOAs. No enterprise bloat. No management company required.
Your community, simplified.
